Tavistock Model Flying Club Rules.
1, All Club members must be insured Third Party Public Liability through British Model Flying Association, ( unless a social member ).
2, All flying is to be carried out in accordance within the Safety Code for General Flying, As set out in the B,M,F,A, Member’s Handbook.
3, Only paid-up Members, with proof of BMFA insurance cover may fly at the Club Field.
4, All Members must sign in when attending the flying field at all times.
5, All persons enter Week Farm Fields entirely at their own risk, and exonerate the landowner from responsibility for any accident, which may occur to them whilst on their land.
6, Vehicles must park as far off the road as possible on the flying field side of the road only, and on the left hand side of the lane leading to Week Farm. All gateways must be left unobstructed and secured before, during and after use of the field.
7, NO flying, or engine to be run at the field before 09.00 any day of a week.
8, DO NOT fly when farm staff are entering / in field tending animals.
9, The Majority of flying must be done within the field boundary, No flying to be done over the PITT area or where access to PITT area is Positioned according to wind direction.
10, All training to be done by designated Club Instructors to comply with BMFA insurance.
11, Guest flyers must notify a Committee member and show proof of ID and BMFA insurance before attending flying field.
12, The pegboard system must be used when FOUR or more persons are using 35MHz frequency is used, No transmitter is to be turned on until relevant peg/no is attached to peg board to confirm channels are in use.
13, No vehicles to enter field without prior permission granted by committee member.
